When I was in school, I wanted to be a college professor or a coach. Life didn’t work out that way and I spent my first career as an Advertising Sales Executive in the media business. Lucky for me, it required a lot of teaching and coaching on my part.
Whether I was developing salespeople to be successful or coaching clients on their marketing and advertising investments, I was always teaching, always encouraging and always motivating people to make good decisions and to improve. I loved it, until the newspaper business began to focus more on reducing staff than investing in their communities. It was then that I began to look for a second career that would require the same coaching and teaching skills.
My first career had brought me into contact with many Real Estate companies and many real estate agents. I learned through this experience that they are not all the same. There are some great agents out there to be sure, and everyday they serve as role models for me as I strive to be a better agent.
